MIAMI – Women Grow Strong has launched a special women’s business mentoring and leadership program that will serve to help empower and inspire women.  It is called the Dorothy Baker Leadership Torch Awards Program, and is named after one of south Florida’s iconic business leaders.

Michael Lee-Chin, a Jamaican entrepreneur, and Dr. Upton Allen, a world-famous pediatrician from Jamaica, are among 23 people receiving the Order of Ontario, the highest honor bestowed by the Canadian province. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, lieutenant governor of Ontario and chancellor of the Order of Ontario, will give out the awards at an investiture ceremony on February 27, 2018, at Queen’s Park.
