Belize Records Decline in Population Growth

BELMOPAN, Belize – The Director General of the Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB), Diana Castillo-Trejo, says the country’s population has been growing at a “slower rate than was previously estimated,” after the preliminary results of the 2022 census showed that the population had increased by 23 per cent since 2010.

UNICEF Warns That Countless Children Are at Risk of Death in Haiti

UNITED NATIONS – The executive director of the United Nations Children  Fund (UNICEF), Catherine Russell, Tuesday said “countless children” are at risk of death in Haiti as gangs tighten their grip on power and the humanitarian crisis worsens in the French-speaking Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country.
