Anguilla Records Increased Tourist Arrivals During First Quarter of 2024

THE VALLEY, Anguilla – The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) is reporting an increase in visitor arrivals during the first quarter of this year as compared with the same period last year.

angullsPhoto Credit: Anguilla Tourist BoardIt said that  Anguilla welcomed a total of 62,188 visitors during the first three months of this year, as against 50,884 last year. Tourist arrivals (stayovers) numbered 37,006, marking a record increase of 15 per cent over the first quarter of last year.

The ATB said that the growth so far this year has been led by the two largest source markets, the United States and Canada.

US visitor arrivals totaled 41,399, up 32.7 per cent, while US tourist arrivals for the same period numbered 27,176, an increase of 20.5 per  cent. Canada’s visitor arrivals at 4,689 were up 22.4 per cent with tourist arrivals at 2,074 increasing by 11.6 per cent.

The Caribbean also posted impressive growth of 41 per cent in visitor arrivals and 33 per cent in tourist arrivals with the ATB saying this region now represents Anguilla’s third-largest source market for visitors.
