MIAMI-DADE – The reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators of Saturday’s drive-by shooting in Brownsville that killed 7-year-old Alana Washington could rise to as high as $47,500 after Mayor Carlos Gimenez and several County Commissioners followed Chairwoman Audrey Edmonson’s lead by pledging to contribute toward the reward, which currently stands at $15,000 – including $5,000 each from Crime Stoppers, Miami-Dade Police and Chairwoman Edmonson.
The NFAC describes itself as an all-black militia group committed to racial justice. The newly founded group has gained national attention in the past month for holding two armed marches in Georgia.
