Jamaica Tourist Board Hosts Reggae Girlz World Cup Watch Parties

KINGSTON, JAMAICA –Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz will bow into World Cup action against Brazil on Sunday, June 9 at 9:30 am ET at the Stade des Alpes in Grenoble, France. The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is throwing its support behind the team and giving the Diaspora an opportunity to get in on the action by hosting a series of World Cup Watch Parties in four major markets: New York, Fort Lauderdale, Baltimore and Toronto.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA – The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) was among the sponsors of the recent South Florida Celebration for the Reggae Girlz World Cup Send-Off Tour. Organized by the Reggae Girlz Foundation in partnership with the City of Miramar, the Consulate General, the Jamaica Tourist Board, County Line Chiropractic, LASCO Foundation and Victoria Mutual Building Society, the fundraising goal of the series of events was $50,000 to support the Reggae Girlz in their 2019 World Cup preparation.

2019 Teen Sensation Live Singing Talent Competition Winner is…..

Lauderdale Lakes,FL - The results are in for the 2019 Teen Sensation Live Singing Talent Competition and Showcase!  The Competition was held Friday May 17at the Multipurpose Auditorium, in Lauderdale Lakes.The competition, now in its 6th year, culminated in a final round, featuring live performances and real-time commentary from a panel of distinguished judges.

Hunger Nine Honored

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commission Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson presented a proclamation to the “Hunger Nine” at the May 7 County Commission meeting in recognition of their recent hunger strike to raise awareness about gun violence.
