Three years have passed since the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The memories of the 17 innocent lives taken from us on that terrible day live on in our hearts and our actions. Never again. Those two words gain more importance as time passes. As the freshman class from that year graduates and moves on to new and exciting endeavors, our work to safeguard our schools continues.

MIAMI – Miami-Dade County bid a fond farewell to its term-limited Mayor and County Commissioners on Nov. 6 at a ceremony held at PortMiami.

On November 3, 2020, I was elected to serve the needs and concerns of the residents of the southernmost communities of Miami-Dade County. I represent communities that were promised rail and residents that trusted their government to honor that promise. South Dade wants rail and South Dade needs rail.

Greetings everyone - I wanted to let you know that the Congresswoman has sent a letter to the President of the United States asking for a new Attorney General for the Virgin Islands. Although I cannot divulge the entirety of the letter I wanted to give you a brief blurb from that letter:

Arguments in federal court continued this week on whether Georgia’s secretary of state’s office, the defendant in a lawsuit, illegally purged an estimated 198,000 Georgia residents from the state’s voting rolls.

With just 20 days to the Nov. 3rd general elections, Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden turned his attention to a voting bloc that is usually taken for granted in the battleground state of Florida – Caribbean American voters.
