Peter G's Self-Titled EP is Currently in the Foundation Network Radio’s Top 20 Reggae Chart

Most reggae artists feel a sense of accomplishment when they make the charts in Jamaica and its Diaspora, but for singer Peter G, the sky is the limit.

petergarPeter GThe veteran artist’s self-titled EP, released in March, is currently in the Foundation Network Radio’s Top 20 Reggae Chart, which covers South Florida. It is also in the Jamaica Album Countdown Chart, compiled by popular Jamaican broadcaster Richard “Richie B” Burgess.

While happy for a presence in Jamaica and the US, Peter G is always looking to broaden his horizons.

“I have never singled out any specific market for my music. Personally, music is a universal language,  I would love my music to be  available in all marketplaces,” he said.

Co-produced by Hopeton Lindo for Irie Pen Records and the Taxi Gang, Peter G is the Jamaica-based artist’s most ambitious project to date. Two songs from the project, Not Taking No and Let Me Please You, went number one on the South Florida Reggae Chart.

Describing his sound as “mostly lovers rock with a soulful touch”, Peter G has been a recording artist since the 1990s. The success of his EP has been a pleasant surprise.

“We put a lot of time and effort into the EP, they are good songs and are well-produced. I knew we had something special but seeing the response has been incredible,” he said.
