JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Antigua and Barbuda sprint sensation Joella Lloyd has once again proven why she’s the fastest woman in her nation’s history, blazing to a new 100m national record of 11.01 seconds for her school Florida State at the NCAA Division I East First Round here in Jacksonville.

This isn’t the first time Lloyd has rewritten the record books this year.

In February, she lowered her own indoor 60m national record to 7.13 seconds, improving on her previous mark of 7.15 set at the 2021 SEC Championships while competing for the University of Tennessee.

The former Lady Vol now holds multiple national records for Antigua and Barbuda, both indoors and outdoors.

Indoors, she owns the 60m (7.13) and 200m (23.38) marks, while outdoors, she reigns supreme in the 100m and 200m.

Lloyd’s 11.06 performance in 2024 was a career-defining moment, securing her a spot at the Paris Olympics, where she represented her country in the Women’s 100m.

Now, with her latest record-breaking run, she has also qualified for the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, adding another major global event to her rapidly expanding résumé.
