Lambert, who made his senior national team debut at just 17 in a historic victory for the Cayman Islands on October 17, 2023, has long dreamed of playing at the professional level.

Now, after careful consideration, he believes Croatia provides the ideal environment for his growth.

“When I got to Croatia, it was about finding the best team for my development.” After evaluating several options, he and his representatives determined that NK Dugopolje was the perfect fit.

The young goalkeeper has already begun training with his new squad, describing the experience as “a dream.”

“To play in a professional club with such great players is amazing.”

As NK Dugopolje’s season kicked off on August 16, Lambert shared his ambitions for the campaign.

“My personal goals are to play as many games as I can, develop as a footballer, and help the team as much as possible.”

Acknowledging the demands of professional football, Lambert emphasized his commitment to constant improvement.

“At this level, you have to be good at most things. I’m trying to be a better version of myself every day and work on all aspects of my game.”

One key focus has been refining his goalkeeping technique. “I’ve been putting a lot of focus on diving forward to attack the ball instead of diving neutral.”

Lambert’s move to Croatia represents more than just a personal triumph; it’s a crucial step toward his long-term aspirations.

“This is a big step that puts me in a great place to develop as a player and a person. I have high standards for myself, and I want to go as far as possible in football, to be the best player I can be.”
