There is No Need For a Middle Class

In any ordered society there are rules that must be followed. This is something that maybe easily observed in nature. Why humans resist this natural order I cannot explain or excuse! If there are winners, then there must be losers. There are Alphas and Betas just as there are Yings and Yangs. In a beehive there is a Queen Bee and everyone else works for her. There are haves and have nots. Nowhere in these examples is there room for a middle!

investmIn a game of chance, a coin is flipped, and it lands either on its head or tail. If it were to land on its edge, then there would be at least an argument for the Middle Class. In athletic competition it is very clear cut. Someone must win and someone must lose, need I say more?So therefore, I humbly submit these questions to those who aspire to be members of the Middle Class. If there is no chance of winning, why try? What is the point? Wouldn’t your time be more appropriately spent training to be good servants?

As the gap between the incomes of the top 2% and the rest of the population continues to widen, a greater demand arises for butlers, cooks and wait staff at the various abodes of the rich in multiply time zones. How can these positions be properly filled by prospects that aspire to become engineers, inventors, teachers, nurses, lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs and such? While this prospective wait staff maintains 4.0 GPAs, they are not preparing themselves for the dwindling opportunities and shrinking incomes of the perspective fields that they aspire to. No longer are there corporate jobs waiting for them upon graduation where they will be able to retire comfortably after 30 years on the same job. There will no longer be a gold watch waiting for them at the end. Again, I ask, why struggle against the trend? Middle Class surrender! Take the easy road. You do not have to possess a perfect GPA to be a chauffeur, and you will still get to drive a great automobile and live in a beautiful mansion. It just won’t be yours!

I am sure that there are those of you out there who are eager to point out the many contributions to society that have been made by the Middle Class. I can only counter that with more leisure time the rich might just as easily make those same contributions. Please, do not get me wrong! Many feel that my question of the need for a Middle Class expresses a disdain for diversity. How untrue! I embrace diversity. What could be more diverse than rich versus poor? How can the rich truly feel rich if there are no poor people around? You Middle Class people only serve to confuse the situation. Marie Antoinette might not have lost her head were it not for the Middle Class. Again, I beg of you. Surrender. Give up. I implore you!

Middle Class ideals only serve to cause an otherwise good and efficient Servant Class to disrupt the order that allows the rich to become richer!

Editor's Note: this article is a satire of the widening of the wealth gap between the rich and the poor.
