The City of Miramar successfully hosted the World's Largest Swimming Lesson on June 20th at the Miramar Aquatic Complex and the Miramar Regional Park Aquatic Complex. Combined, over 71 children participated at both locations. The event was a fun way to make the community aware of the importance of swim lessons and the existence of our Aquatic Facilities.

Miami – An investigation conducted by the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) Professional Compliance Bureau and the Public Corruption Division of the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office has led to the arrest of 6-year veteran MDPD Officer Orestes Santiago Verdura and an associate, 38-year-old Ariel Sanchez.

Organized by the Reggae Girlz Foundation in partnership with the City of Miramar, the Consulate General, the Jamaica Tourist Board, County Line Chiropractic, LASCO Foundation and Victoria Mutual Building Society, the fundraising goal of the series of events was $50,000 to support the Reggae Girlz in their 2019 World Cup preparation.
