Don G Releases New Song 'Raise All Glasses'
Living in faraway Luxembourg does not stop Don G from keeping tabs with the latest developments in his native Jamaica. In late 2025, he got wind of a hot new ‘riddim’ called the WYFL and was determined to record a song on it.
After weeks of persuasive argument, the singjay got the green light from co-producers DJ Mac and Crashdummy. Raise All Glasses, his song on the WYFL, was released in March.
“I went to the recording studio and laid my vocals on the beat and came up with Raise All Glasses. It’s a party/club banger with weekend vibes, lyrics clean as usual. I then sent it to one of my engineers in Jamaica to mix, who is DJ Cash Flow Neil, before sending it to DJ Mac for variation, and he liked the track,” Don G disclosed. “I also posted a one-minute snippet on all my social media platforms of me in the recording studio voicing the song, and it gained a lot of traction.”
The WYFL is the most hyped jam in dancehall circles, with even Shaggy giving it the thumbs-up. Several high-profile acts including Vybz Kartel, Mavado and Spice have done songs on the uptempo beat.
Don G, who is from St. Catherine parish in rural Jamaica, has lived in Luxembourg since 2017. While the tiny landlocked country does not have a big reggae scene, he keeps busy by performing at events in Belgium, the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
Raise All Glasses launched what he expects to be a busy year.
“My plans for 2026 are to keep working consistently and make good music, so I’m in the recording studio 24/7. There are more singles to come and also an album dropping,” said Don G.
