Lauderdale Lakes, FL – The City of Lauderdale Lakes is proud to announce the renaming of its Multi-Purpose Center, located at 4340 NW 36th Street, as the Hazelle P. Rogers Multipurpose Center, honoring the decades of distinguished public service and extraordinary contributions of Broward County Commissioner Hazelle P. Rogers.
Pursuant to Lauderdale Lakes Code, the City Commission has the authority to recognize individuals who have made lasting and significant impacts by naming a city facility in their honor. Since 2022, she has served as Broward County Commissioner for District 9, continuing her advocacy with integrity and dedication.
“Commissioner Hazelle P. Rogers has dedicated her life to public service, and her impact on the City of Lauderdale Lakes is immeasurable,” said Acting City Manager Venice Howard. “Renaming this facility in her honor not only recognizes her trailblazing accomplishments, but also ensures that her legacy of leadership and service will continue to inspire future generations.”
