GENEVA – The World Health Organization (WHO) says intense Monkeypox transmission continues in the Americas region, although the number of cases globally fell by more than 20 percent last week.

GEORGETOWN, Guyana – Guyana on Monday became the latest CARICOM country to confirm a case of the Monkeypox virus with health officials saying that the patient is hospitalized in a stable condition.

As monkeypox infection rates increase, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava is announcing that the County will begin offering the monkeypox vaccine to eligible, high-risk residents, in partnership with Nomi Health.
