WASHINGTON, D.C. – The director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Dr. Carissa Etienne urged countries to prioritize expectant and lactating mothers for vaccinations amid concerns that the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic represents a serious risk for pregnant women in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

The blitz targeted GK team members and their guests. GK contractors, members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force attached to the Kingston Central Division and residents of Parade Gardens and Rae Town, the communitiesbordering GK’s HQ, were also vaccinated at the blitz.
