Concacaf Kicks off Concacaf Platform and Sets Stage For FIFA Finals 2026

Miami, FL – Concacaf has officially entered the esports arena. The confederation has announced the launch of eConcacaf, a dedicated football esports platform aimed at uniting players, fans, and Member Associations across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

cafconbalThe move signals a major step in Concacaf’s growing digital strategy and comes with a flagship event, the first-ever FIFAe Continental Championship North, Central America, and Caribbean by Concacaf, set to take place in Mexico City from August 28–30, 2026.

The continental championship is part of the official Road to the FIFAe Finals 2026, following FIFA’s recent reveal of five in-person regional tournaments spanning Asia, South America, Africa, Europe, and now the Concacaf region.

The event will bring together the region’s best-qualified national teams, all advancing through the FIFAe Nations League 2026.

Through eConcacaf, the confederation will oversee official regional competition across three titles, Rocket League, eFootball Mobile, and eFootball Console.

Beyond competition, the platform aims to boost fan engagement, brand growth, and commercial opportunities in one of sport’s fastest-expanding sectors.

“eConcacaf represents an exciting new chapter for our Confederation and a meaningful opportunity to further connect with fans and players differently,” said Philippe Moggio, Concacaf General Secretary. “This platform will allow our Member Associations and their teams to participate in a structured competitive pathway that connects directly to the global FIFAe ecosystem.”

The inaugural continental championship will be held at Gamergy Mexico, one of Latin America’s premier gaming and esports festivals, which draws over 80,000 attendees across the weekend.

FIFA confirmed that more than 120 nations have entered the 2026 FIFAe ecosystem, marking significant year-over-year growth.

Within Concacaf, 15 Member Associations have already taken part in the 2026 cycle, underscoring rising regional interest.
