Khadija Shaw Leads Manchester City to First-Ever Domestic Double

LONDON, England – Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw completed a historic season for Manchester City with her opening strike setting the tone in her side’s 4-0 thrashing of Brighton in the Women’s FA Cup final here on Sunday.

City captain Alex Greenwood’s low 20-yard free-kick in first half stoppage time allowed City to double their lead heading into the break.

Shaw then returned to provide an assist to substitute Aoba Fujino in the 66th minute to all but seal the contest, before Vivianne Miedema capped off a fine performance by scoring in the 87th minute.

The result helped City secure their first-ever domestic double having also captured the Women’s Super League title for the first time in 10 years.
