PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – The future of Haitian football has never looked brighter. For the second consecutive time, and the fourth time in their history, the Haitian U-17 national team has punched its ticket to the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The numbers tell the story of a dominant campaign. Three matches, three wins. Eleven goals scored, with a stingy defence conceding just two.

It was a perfect record that showcased not just raw talent but a tactical discipline and a relentless sense of duty that has brought immense pride to the nation.

Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé was quick to laud the team’s historic achievement, hailing them as a generation that brings honour to the Republic.

This qualification is more than just a victory on the pitch; it is the latest, brilliant chapter in a long and resilient history of Haitian football.

It places this squad alongside the legends of 1974 and the upcoming 2026 Senior Men’s squad, the 2023 Senior Women, the 2010 Women’s U-20 team, and the U-17 heroes of 2007 and 2019.

“The Nation rallies around them,” the Prime Minister stated. Throughout the decades, despite crises and hardships, Haiti has never ceased to rise, to fight, and to make its name heard among the nations.”

This qualification, born from cohesion and a fighting spirit, serves as a powerful metaphor for the nation itself. As the Prime Minister noted, this achievement transcends sport.

“This achievement is firmly etched in the collective memory of Haitian sport,” the Prime Minister added. “Each qualification is an act of faith in the future, an affirmation of our resilience, and irrefutable proof that when the flag is raised, it is an entire people standing tall before the world.”

Haiti joins Jamaica, the United States, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, Honduras and Mexico to qualify for the U17 World Cup from CONCACAF.
