ST. JOHN’S, Antigua - The Antigua-based regional airline, LIAT 2020 has launched a new programme coinciding with its second anniversary.
“The launch is our way of saying thank you to the thousands of customers who have supported LIAT Air throughout our journey,” said Hafsah Abdulsalam, the airline’s chief executive officer, adding “over the past two years, we have worked tirelessly to expand our network and improve the travel experience for our passengers.
“LIAT Air Club is an investment in our customers, giving back to them by rewarding their loyalty while making travel even more accessible and rewarding.”
Launched in August 2024, LIAT 2020 replaced the older, bankrupt LIAT (1974) and is owned by the Antiguan government and the Nigerian carrier Air Peace, servicing multiple destinations across the Caribbean.
A LIAT Air statement said effective Thursday August 6, customers can join LIAT Air Club free of charge by registering on the airline’s website and immediately begin earning rewards on eligible travel.
It said members will earn one point for every dollar spent, with points redeemable for flights, excess baggage and an expanding range of rewards and exclusive member benefits.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, LIAT 2020 is also giving back to its existing customers by allowing passengers who have travelled with the airline during the past three months to retroactively claim points for eligible flights after enrolling in the programme.
the airline said the deadline for retroactive claims is September 30, 2026 and that the programme features four membership tiers, Blue, Bronze, Silver and Gold, allowing members to unlock additional benefits as they travel more frequently with the airline.
The company said that since the airline’s launch two years ago, LIAT 2020 has expanded its regional network, strengthened connectivity across the Caribbean and remains focus on delivering greater value and convenience to its customers.
