Record Number of Homeless Kids Need Your Help

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Broward County and Kiwanis Divisions 23 and 24 are once again partnering for Christmas In July to benefit homeless children in our community and help them prepare for the upcoming school year. This year, the number of homeless children in Broward County's school system reached 4,479, the highest number ever. Christmas in July will be relied upon to help meet their needs as in years past. Spring into Fitness And Adventures at Miami-Dade Parks' Spring Break Camps, March 25 - 29

MIAMI — Register your child at any one of Miami-Dade Parks’ exciting Spring Break camps where they will enjoy active play and engage with nature.  Parents can choose to enroll their child at either theFit2Play™ General Program camp or Specialized Camps, which focus on a specific interest or need.  Camps will be held March 25-29, 2019, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., with early drop-off available at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up until 6 p.m.

Full Moon Yoga at the Deering Estate

MIAMI —The Full Moon Yoga Series at the Deering Estate provides an opportunity to enjoy the sunset and end of the day while welcoming the full moon at one of the most beautiful settings in Palmetto Bay. Each session will host a guest or special theme to make for a unique experience. The next session is on Thursday, April 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

More Than 10,000 People Attend the Asian Culture Festival

MIAMI – The two-day 29th Annual Asian Culture Festival coincided with the 90th anniversary of the Miami-Dade Parks, on March 2-3, 2019. More than 10,000 people celebrated the diversity of the Asian cultures through an enchanting journey of music and dance, performances, demonstrations, arts, and hand crafts, highlighted by a tasty selection of authentic Asian cuisine at the Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead, FL.

Residents Turn Out for Commissioner Jordan’s Movie Night

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY – Dozens of northwest Miami-Dade children and adults turned out to see the computer-animated superhero film “Incredibles 2” at Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan’s March 22 movie night event at Lake Stevens Park.
