TWU Local 291 Endorses Daniella Levine Cava for Miami-Dade County Mayor

MIAMI, FL  – Today, Transportation Workers Local 291 (TWU Local 291), the union of more than 2,600 Miami-Dade County transportation workers in bus and rail, announced its endorsement of Daniella Levine-Cava for Miami-Dade County Mayor. Leadership cites Levine Cava’s comprehensive plan and bold vision for transportation expansion, connectivity, and operations as leading driver behind their support.

MILWAUKEE—The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) released a selection of excerpts from the remarks of speakers as prepared for delivery who will address the Democratic National Convention.

The theme of Monday's program is “We the People.” This convention is about Americans rising up to take our country back—and move forward as a nation together. As we have learned throughout our history, when we stand united, we can overcome anything, including the monumental challenges we face today. With Joe Biden as president, ‘we the people’ will mean all the people.

South Florida AFL-CIO Leadership Unanimously Endorses Daniella Levine Cava for Miami-Dade County Mayor

Miami, Florida  The South Florida AFL-CIO, the coalition representing over 40 local units throughout the South Florida region, announced that it has unanimously voted to endorse Daniella Levine Cava for Miami-Dade County Mayor. Collectively, the organization represents more than 136,500 workers in the public sector, education, communications, transportation, construction, hospitality, healthcare as well as first responders, among others.
